The popular horror book writer Clive Barker has released finally released a game straight from his mind, but will Jericho be able to provide you with an enjoyable experience?

From The Mind Of A Genius: The story of Jericho is penned by Clive Barker himself and is completely unique and does occasionally provide some nice storyline progression.

The story of Jericho is great...as a concept, but the way the story is told destroys the storyline and leaves too many questions.

In the beginning God did not create Adam and Eve, but instead created a little monster called the firstborn.

The firstborn experiment did not go well, and it was locked away in an alternate universe. Occasionally the firstborn will attempt to escape, and it is the secretive Jericho squad's job to keep it in its place.

What ensues in game is not very interesting though, and the way the story is laid out does not do anything well for the game.

Team Swapper: Jericho's most successful aspect of the gameplay is the ability to swap through all of your remaining teammates to use their abilities and weapons.

This aspect works well most of the time, but occasionally you will be forced to switch through your teammates too much, and it can sometimes become confusing as to who you currently are and what you are doing.

The actual shooting aspects of Jericho are pretty decent, and do provide a worthwhile experience as far as first person shooters go.

Dumb...Or Smart: One of the most glaring problems that you will run into while playing Jericho is the constant death of your teammates.

You will constantly have to run around the levels looking for your teammates so that you can revive them and make them useful again.

The AI of your teammates may not be entirely moronic through, as they will seek cover and flank your enemies. The only issue arises when you teammates cannot find cover and end up walking into a firing range.

Rent vs. Buy: Clive Barker's Jericho is a decent game that only would have been truly great if the presentation and execution was a little better.

The decent shooting, intriguing teammate swapping mechanics and fairly impressive graphics make Jericho a definite rent, but nothing more.
